WOODEN BICYCLE MANUFACTURING

01
Wood selection
We mostly make our frames from wood sourced right here in the Czech Republic – ash, walnut, oak, and maple – all processed at our own sawmill. But we’re not afraid to mix things up. Sometimes we add something a bit more exotic. We match the woods by grain and by feel – every frame is one of a kind.
Years of hands-on experience have taught us to spot wood with real potential. We don’t just guess – we only work with species that have the right qualities for building a solid, reliable bike.
02
Bicycle frame manufacturing
The initial machining is greatly simplified by the CNC milling machine, followed by many hours of manual work — gluing, sanding, and final painting.

03
Frame geometry
We currently offer a wooden hardtail frame in sizes M, L, and XL. Ota Mikšánek played a key role in developing the model, while Petr Vacek worked on the final design.
We spent three years refining it — testing, tweaking, discarding, and reassembling until it met our standards. In the meantime, they burned a lot of fuel — whether intentionally or purely by accident.

It's up to you to finish the story.
And it is. A frame that has a head, a heel – and offers a damn good ride . It's a bike with a story. Yours or ours, it doesn't matter.
Our frame will never reach the weight of carbon, and probably no one will win a big race on it. But...
SAORSA is the wooden bike we dreamed of . And now we're finally introducing it to you. Now you know our story. Start writing yours!
